A police officer has finally received their £20 compensation five years after a violent suspect bottled them.
The officer shared a picture on Twitter of the date on which the courts made the compensation order; on 7th June 2016.
Courts sometimes award compensation payouts to emergency workers who have been assaulted in the line of duty.
But the officer in this instance received two slaps in the face from the judiciary; first, for the measly amount of £20 that is barely enough to buy a new torch for work.
And then a second slap around the chops due to the amount of time it took for the officer to receive the payment.
Who wants to make a bet that the amount of compensation awarded to the court was more than £20 and that it was paid over four years ago..?
