‘Is this the digital apocalypse’, one Twitter user asked as Google seems to have endured a significant issue with its most of its services.
Gmail, Workspace and YouTube all seem to have stopped working and the rest of the internet is trying to figure out what has gone wrong.
According to DownDetector, the issues started at around 11:56 GMT, and are affecting users worldwide.
Google was hit by significant outage in August this year, which also took down its suite of digital services and YouTube.
Some people have reported that when they try to search using Google’s Search Engine, they are finding a 400 error message, reading: “The server cannot process the request because it is malformed. It should not be retried.”
Of those who reported issues with YouTube, 54% said they couldn’t access the website, 42% couldn’t watch videos and 3% were struggling to log-in.
And of those who reported problems with Gmail, 75% couldn’t log-in, 15% couldn’t access the website, and 8% were not receiving messages.
So far, Google has not released a statement.
Talking about their frustration, one social media said: ‘I was literally just watching a clip from 28 weeks later then this sh*t happened. I’m getting paranoid now!’.
One frustrated gmail client said: ‘Whoever thought running a 4am update was a good idea should have checked the time zones in Europe’.
