A few weeks ago, when we wrote about videos which had emerged on social media showing members of the public wearing facemasks, then the articles would get quite a few shares.
A lot has changed in the last few weeks, and now people think that you must be crazy for going outside without any gloves/face masks owing to the threat posed by COVID-19.
But one video which was spotted by a member of our team shows personal protective equipment being taken to a whole new level.
In the video below, uploaded by Jake Crawley, a male in what can only be described as full ‘NBCD assault gear’ seems to be fiddling around with an empty shopping trolley.
No doubt his vision is probably impaired owing to the respirator that he is wearing.
The guy then pulls out a tape measure and appears to try and figure out how long 3ft is. Perhaps he is working out if a brand new 55-inch flat-screen telly is going to fit in his trolly?
But instead, it looks like he is trying to visualise the ‘two-metre rule’ so that he can warn off anyone who finds themself in his personal space.
It even looks like he has a pair of ‘quick-cuffs’ on a police-like utility belt.
As shoppers walk past the intimidating individual, he stares them out and, understandably, people look away; not want to end up being locked into a ‘stare off’ with the male.
For all we know, this individual could be filming some sort of prank. Or he could just be doing everything he can to avoid getting COVID-19. And who can blame him!
What do you think he is doing? Let us know in the comments below.
